Chuck Close is an American painter, artist and photographer who is known for his photorealistic portraits. In 1988 he suffered a seizure that left him paralyzed due to the spinal artery collapse. Yet, despite his physical impairment, he is able to create portraits using diverse techniques that accommodate to his situation. Knowing a bit more on his disability, does a viewer’s original perception of the art piece change?
